As part of the upcoming **[BSC mainnet hardfork](https://x.com/BNBCHAIN/status/1914321403396108772)** on **29th April 2025, 05:05 am UTC**, we will make some necessary updates to the Syrup Pools on the BNB Chain. These changes are required to ensure the PancakeSwap ecosystem runs smoothly after the BNB Hardfork.

### **Deprecation of Syrup Pools**

On 28th April 2025, 12:00 PM UTC, the following 10 Syrup Pools will be deprecated:

- Stake CAKE to earn LTP
- Stake mCAKE to earn LTP
- Stake CAKE to earn KOMA
- Stake CAKE to earn VON
- Stake VON to earn CAKE
- Stake CAKE to earn QUACK
- Stake AITECH to earn CAKE
- Stake CAKE to earn SIREN
- Stake CAKE to earn CSIX
- Stake CAKE to earn PEPE

After this time, **the APR will be reduced to 0%,** and rewards will no longer be distributed. Please unstake your funds after 12:00 PM UTC on 28th April 2025 to avoid any disruption.

### **Migration to New Syrup Pools:**

Starting 29th April 2025, 12:00 PM UTC, the same 8 Syrup Pools will be migrated to new contracts and redeployed. To continue earning rewards, you must withdraw your funds from the old Syrup Pools and re-stake them in the new Syrup Pools. The pools will remain the same, but they will be on new contracts:

- Stake CAKE to earn KOMA
- Stake CAKE to earn VON
- Stake VON to earn CAKE
- Stake CAKE to earn QUACK
- Stake AITECH to earn CAKE
- Stake CAKE to earn SIREN
- Stake CAKE to earn CSIX
- Stake CAKE to earn PEPE

### **Important Notes**

- Unstaking Date: You can unstake your funds after 28 April, 12:00 PM UTC.
- Restaking/Migration Date: You can restake them in the new pools starting from 29 April, 12:00 PM UTC onwards.
- Downtime: There will be approximately 1 day of downtime during the migration when no APR will be distributed.

After achieving consistent deflation in recent months, our latest strategic move is to reduce the CAKE token's total supply to a maximum cap of 450 million CAKE, aligning with our vision for a robust, deflationary model.

## **Rationale for Adjustment:**

1\. **Certainty for the Community:** After nearly three years of development, we now have more accurate estimations of incentives required to achieve our growth targets, providing certainty regarding future CAKE token supply.

2\. **Accelerating Ultrasound CAKE:** Lowering the total supply is crucial in achieving ultrasound CAKE, signaling PancakeSwap's departure from a hyperinflationary tokenomics model.

3\. **Flexibility for Growth:** A new cap of 450 million CAKE ensures sufficient supply for future growth, including market share expansion on Ethereum, Ethereum L2s, and initiatives like position managers.

## **Community Support and Governance:**

## **How to use Position Manager on PancakeSwap**

1\. Navigate to Earn, visit [**Position Manager page**](https://pancakeswap.finance/position-managers/).

2\. Pick Your Trading Pair, Manager and Strategy: Choose your desired trading pair for liquidity provision.

3\. Click **“Add Liquidity”**, and choose how much asset you want to provide.

4\. Click **“Approve”** then **“Confirm”**, you will need to confirm the transaction in your wallet pop-up.
