We are thrilled to announce the winners of the PancakeSwap v4 Hackathon at ETHBrussels. Innovative minds converged to build on PancakeSwap v4 and compete for a share of the $20,000 prize pool. The event was a great place to connect with hackers from around the world and see their creativity. This hackathon was a part of our $500K developer program, launched in March 2022.
The hackathon centered around developing hooks for PancakeSwap v4, asking the developers to push the boundaries of DeFi innovation on PancakeSwap v4.
Developers were asked to implement hooks that modify net delta to be settled by the caller using Hook return delta. Ideas included safeguarding against MEV and JIT liquidity attacks, creating new pricing curves for synthetic assets, incentivizing specific swapping behaviors, and enabling conditional liquidity provision.

A cross-chain perpetual market leveraging ERC20 tokens wrapped in OFTs as pool assets.
Developers were encouraged to explore creative uses of hooks, such as integrating a unified order book with AMM, leveraging historical on-chain data for loyalty programs, creating index tokens with automated rebalancing, and implementing yield-swap mechanisms for AMM fee APRs.

Market dApp for buying ARB delegation, allowing users to wrap ARB into WARB and use AMM hooks to share revenue from sales with Liquidity Providers. Hooks provide extra rewards to Liquidity Providers when they remove liquidity from a WARB pool.

Introducing a v4 hook generator leveraging generative AI: select a pair, enter a prompt, and generate, deploy, and verify hooks in just a few clicks. This hook uses LLMs to simplify hook creation, making it accessible for technical and non-technical users.
